Frequently Asked Questions
What Is Riverside Radiology and Interventional Associates, Inc.?
Riverside Radiology and Interventional Associates is a group of more than 60 sub-specialized and board certified radiologists who are armed with new imaging technology and treatments. RRA physicians use technological advances in CT scans, MRI scans, Ultrasound, Nuclear scanning and Interventional techniques to deliver state-of-the-art diagnoses and treatments to physicians and patients throughout Ohio.
What types of clients does Riverside Radiology and Interventional Associates service?
Riverside Radiology and Interventional Associates annually delivers more than 800,000 in-depth and accurate image interpretations, among a variety of other services, to imaging centers, community hospitals, clinics and physicians' groups, and individual physicians. We cover all types of medical practices of all sizes and all general or sub-specialty imaging needs.
What services does Riverside Radiology and Interventional Associates provide to physicians groups and community hospitals?
RRIA provides Subspecialty Teleradiology Services; Image Storing and a Picture Archive and Communications System (PACS); Interventional Radiology Services; Locum Tenens Services; Consulting & Management; and complete Billing Services.
Does RRIA provide services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to physicians' groups and community hospitals?
Yes. Since 1980, RRIA radiologists have developed a national reputation for producing detailed and decisive reports in specialized areas including neuroradiology, musculoskeletal and body imaging. No matter the modality (MRI, CT, PET), Riverside Radiology and Interventional Associates has experienced and respected radiologists that provide a preliminary read, final read, comprehensive best-in-class final reports and post-report consultation. Riverside Radiology and Interventional Associates accepts images 24 hours a day, seven days and week and guarantees a return report within 24 hours. Preliminary reads are often returned within 20 minutes. In addition, RRIA physicians are available when in-house radiologists are on vacation, sick or have heavy workloads.
Who will obtain medical staff privileges for NightShift radiologists at our hospitals?
NightShift assumes total responsibility, as well as all costs associated, for obtaining privileges for our radiologists at your facility. As a JCAHO accredited organization, hospitals may choose to accept our core credentialing, greatly reducing work for the Medical Staff Office and decreasing the time necessary to obtain privileges. For those facilities which do not support the JCAHO accreditation, our credentialing department is experienced in working with the Medical Staff Office to complete the process as quickly as possible.
How can RRIA provide services to our community hospital or physicians group if there is not an RRA office in our community?
Riverside Radiology and Interventional Associates spreads its imaging expertise through the use of a significant business and technology infrastructure which allows RRIA to bring the appropriate sub-specialized radiologist to each community it serves. Through the use of technology, a specialist at RRIA can talk with a physician in another city, reviewing together transmitted CT images and discussing available treatment options. The ability to transport medical knowledge to surrounding communities allows RRIA to expedite patient care throughout its network of hospitals and physician practices.
How do our referring physicians and your group communicate?
Our radiologists are available for consultation at any time via a toll-free number. Reports are generally transmitted by FAX, though arrangements can be made to integrate directly with your department's information system if desired. Urgent findings are promptly telephoned to the referring physician.
What technical support services are available?
24/7 technical support services are available on-call to troubleshoot any portion of our technological infrastructure should problems develop.
What about security and confidentiality? Are you HIPAA-compliant?
Our technology is Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)-compliant. Our processes and technical infrastructure guarantee secured and confidential data management. As HIPAA is not enforceable outside of the United States, you can rest assured that our radiologists are 100% US based.
